Been ruminating on this one for a while. I’ve always liked the Marshall Silver Jubilee amp, and judging from the selling prices of them on the used market, a lot of other people like them too. I’ve been putting off building a version forever. But I’ve done a detailed review of the circuit – the boys at Marshall did something different. I am now embarking on building the Phaez version of that circuit, and it will be available shortly. 50W version, no footswitching, no clean, just the lead. It’s a more pure signal path that way.
Tentative name is Jubenville. Price is $745 chassis only, so add a Sourmash head cab and tubes, and you’d be at about a grand.
